Gateway Youth is a vibrant place for young people (age 11-18) to socialise,
make friends and take part in a wide range of activities and events. Graffiti art,
dance, football, basketball and drama are just a few of the activities open to the
young people. Gateway Youth also occasionally goes on trips to places such as ‘Xscape’,
where the young people take part in bowling and laser quest, as well as joining with other
youth groups in organising performing arts events.
What are we about?
Gateway Youth is based upon the Christian belief that God loves all people (John 3v16).
It is important to the youth leaders at Gateway to demonstrate God’s LOVE through SERVING people
and COMMUNICATING this love through actions and words.
Love 1 Cor 13 v 4&5 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not boast, and
it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others.
Love does not count up wrongs that have been done.
Serve Col 3 v 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord,
not for men.
Communicate Romans 10 v 14 But before people ask the Lord for help, they must believe in him;
and before they can believe in him, they must hear about him; and for them to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them.
